Youth Development in Action

The mission of this school program is to provide a platform to help foster awareness and tolerance in our at-risk youth so that they will be agents of positive change after exposure to other cultures. This program is an experiential cultural immersion for four-six weeks abroad during the summer vacation months. The students will actively participate in curriculum building activities and service projects in order to bring newfound experiences and skills back to their school and community. The group will contain four to five at-risk, same sex, middle school students, one trip mentor, and one trip service-liaison. An additional team member will be in the home community in order to provide information and support to families.
